DOS & DONTS OF BLOGGING

Before I embark on this wonderful blogging journey, let me reiterate the following guidelines:

Numero Uno ~ All posts shall be penned (mostly) in English. Aha! Before you utter a single comment my dears, it's not that I do not walk the talk, BUT this blog is an avenue for me to de-stress and get away from the stressors of work. Penning my thoughts in Malay Language will thus ONLY remind me of work. So hopefully, I do not hear comments like, "Kata saja Cikgu Bahasa Melayu, tapi tulis Omputih!" in time to come, ya? :)

Numero Dos ~ No posts shall focus on the specific happenings in school. So kiddos, in case you are wondering, there will NOT be any inside stories or juicy details pertaining to what's happening in the staff room of B/G/S/S. Similarly, I will refrain myself from highlighting any specific individuals / students no matter how disturbed / stressed I am by the event per se.

Numero Tres ~ In general, the main stars of this blog shall be MY DARLINGS - IMAN & IHSAN. Hopefully through this blog, my students will learn that there's a more humane side to me than the gangster-like Cikgu they normally see in school. :)

A NEW BEGINNING

How time flies!

The one month June holidays whizzed by in a jiffy, to my horror and astonishment. I can't believe that my precious quality time with Princess Iman and Prince Ihsan will come to a halt in no time.

Indeed, the June holidays has been an eventful month, lined with celebrations and memorable occasions worth remembrance. Besides the BIG move to Riverina, occasions like our 5th wedding anniversary and Ihsan's 1st Birthday made June an extremely special month. On top of that, we had Gentarasa 2006 and Sesame Street Show to watch, Maya's wedding and Najib's engagement to attend, as well as the Cherating trip and other quality parenting sessions with our two darlings.

With all that momentous occasions in mind, I thought, "Hey! I might as well celebrate and give myself a treat!" So what did I get for myself? A BLOG. Hmm.... How ORIGINAL....

Well, as an avid blog reader for the past two years, never did I imagine that I would be magnetized and dragged into the blogging domain.

TRUE, I enjoyed reading through the blogs of mummies who whine and gloat simultaneously on the ups and downs of parenthood. YES, I had an exhilarating time re-establishing links with long-lost friends, acquaintances and ex-students through blog-hopping. But still, I was uninspired and TOTALLY unmoved.

Perhaps, it was the blogging process with my students in school that made me think twice about blogging in general. Through the blogging project earlier this year, I learnt A LOT about my students, particularly my 3 Express students whom I have never taught before. And the feeling was .... well, nice. :)

So there. I'm dragged into the bandwagon of bloggers. Whether blogging will just be a passe or the beginning of a wonderful odyssey, we will just have to wait and see, ya? :)
